Privacy policy
Summary
Doorstep works on your phone. Your places, reminders and activity log are stored only on this device and are never sent to us. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics.
What the app uses
- Location: to notice when you leave or arrive at places you saved. It is processed on your phone. Doorstep keeps a short log of departures and arrivals on your phone for troubleshooting; it never leaves the device.
- Notifications: to show your reminders.
- Bluetooth (Android, only if you create a Bluetooth reminder): to notice when a paired device such as your car connects or disconnects.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Doorstep only asks the store, on your phone, whether you have Pro. We never receive your payment details.
Backups
Your phone's own backup (iCloud or your Google account) may include Doorstep's data, depending on your backup settings.
Your choices
You can turn off location, notifications or Bluetooth for Doorstep at any time in your phone's settings. Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
